We were honored to be selected as a 2026 grant recipient by the Aurora Women’s Empowerment Foundation (AWEF), a community-based organization that supports efforts to help women and girls in the Aurora area overcome barriers and reach their fullest potential.
This investment will support our comprehensive early childhood services and whole-family navigation supports through our Aurora Kapur Center. For families navigating pregnancy, early childhood, economic instability, and changing life circumstances, trusted support can make all the difference.
The AWEF Board envisions a prosperous and vibrant Aurora where women and girls of all ages, races, ethnicities, and income levels feel respected and valued, and are nurtured to achieve their fullest potential. Family Focus’s early-childhood work and focus on pre- and postpartum care for moms and families help ensure that the women and girls they serve have access to the tools and programs they need to succeed.
Through a whole-family approach, Family Focus Aurora tailors services to each family’s strengths and needs. The center offers prenatal and early childhood programming, parenting education, home visiting, family navigation, parent mentoring, immigration services, and other wraparound supports.
Through this partnership, Family Focus and the Aurora Women’s Empowerment Foundation are helping more Aurora families access critical supports, navigate challenges, and create stronger foundations for the next generation.
