Studying the 3 Rs

Some Amazing Scales & Tails chinchillas pay a friendly visit
Create: Summer Revolution R3-- Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle! was the theme this summer for Family Focus summer students at Granville T. Woods Academy in Englewood who enjoyed a fun-filled, multi-disciplinary education in caring for the world and living healthy lives.

2nd grader Cyan reads about how to be a 'planet protector'.
The elementary school students learned about landfills, natural resources, how to turn old into new and healthy lifestyles through a wide-ranging curriculum which combined literacy, science, and math with a healthy dose of art and fun.
Family Focus thanks continuing partners and partners new this year for bringing learning to life for our summer campers. Special thanks goes to CHJ Consulting, Healthea Health Education, and Urban Gateways for teaching us exciting new ways to “go green.” The Field Trip Factory, Strack & Van Til, Amazing Scales & Tails and Sarah’s Pony Rides topped the learning off with terrific field trip experiences.
