Family Network Celebrates 10th Annual Book Review Luncheon
On Thursday, October 20, Family Network celebrated its 10th Annual Book Review Luncheon to help raise funds to support its Parent/Child Center. One hundred people attended the luncheon catered by Hel's Kitchen with coffee and drinks generously donated by Starbuck's at Renaissance Place and Sunset Foods. Thanks goes out to Tracy Segal and the rest of the Family Network board and staff for their help coordinating this successful event.
In honor of this special anniversary event, book dramatist Barbara Rinella wowed the audience by performing 10 of her favorite characters from Coco Chanel and Kate Hepburn to Winston Churchill and Erma Bombeck. Also at the event, Family Network presented their 2011 Community Service Award to Ruth Sutton, Director of Community Education for Township High School District 113, for her leadership, dedication, and longstanding partnership with Family Network to promote literacy education through English as a Second Language classes to families of Highland Park, Highwood, and Deerfield.
