The Family Focus Associate Board (FFAB) is a network of young professional who are passionate about social justice and making a difference in Chicago’s neighborhoods. We generate awareness and raise funds to benefit Family Focus and its seven centers in the Chicago-area. Family Focus Associate Board members advance Family Focus’ mission by volunteering at Family Focus centers, organizing an annual toy drive and holiday party, and hosting an annual fundraiser where we have the unique opportunity to share the mission and achievements of Family Focus with our networks.
The FFAB helps young professionals expand their professional network, give back in a meaningful way, and have a lot of fun along the way! In the words of a current FFAB member, “When I first joined, I had recently taken a risk and quite my job without another one lined up and I needed to meet other young professionals, fast. Little did I know, this board would become more than an adult extracurricular, but a place to connect better with my city and a way to realize my leadership skills.”

In an effort to help families undergoing financial hardships receive items their new baby requires for healthy development, Family Focus offers an incentive program called Baby Bucks. Families participating in Family Focus’ services earn Baby Bucks for reaching goals, attending group meetings or programs, or graduating programs. The bucks can then be used to purchase essential baby items. The program provides incentive for families to attend services that will positively impact the health of their baby and gives parents a sense of independence by allowing them to choose what items their child needs.
The Associate Board is running an online donation drive via Amazon Wish Lists to help the Family Focus DuPage center stock their baby bucks store. Purchase items online through our Amazon Wish List and have items shipped directly to the DuPage center, or donate to the Associate Board to help purchase items.
